  • Partial Hospitalization Program: Designed like inpatient, but without the overnight component, partial hospitalization programs are often used as a stepdown from inpatient or for those who cannot attend rehab because of other commitments.
  • Intensive Outpatient: Commonly referred to as IOP, this is another stepdown option after rehab. Intensive outpatient is three days a week for four to six hours and helps you transition back into daily life while still giving you the structure and accountability needed in early recovery.
  • Outpatient: From once a week counseling to once a month, outpatient is for those who are maintaining their sobriety, but still have issues to work on. Outpatient can last anywhere from three months to years, depending on a personā€™s needs.
