Let us help you find the right rehab center for you!

There are many questions that you should ask when choosing the right rehab center for you. Initially, you must first determine what type of treatment you need based on your condition and then you will want to assure that you choose an affordable rehab center so you’ll need a budget. Once you have answered a few basic questions you are ready to begin the hunt for the right rehab center for you. Here’s a look at some of the other questions you may want to consider when choosing the right rehab center:

What’s the length of stay? Some rehab centers provide 7 day treatment while others provide 90 day treatment. It is advisable that you seek treatment that is at least a duration of 30 days for optimal rehabilitation success and lower risk of relapse.

How much does it cost? There are free rehab centers and there are luxury rehab centers and as you can imagine the price range between the two varies greatly. For instance, a free rehab center is just that…it’s free, but luxury rehab centers may cost in excess of tens of thousands of dollars depending on the length of stay and type of treatment offered. Make sure that you ask about cost upfront before making any decisions as you want to assure that you can afford the rehab center that you choose.

What certification do staff members have? Some rehab centers employ staff that do not carry appropriate certifications and are not qualified to provide specialized treatment and care. Make sure that the staff members of the rehab center that you choose are certified to treat your specific condition whether it’s mental, physical or an addiction of some sort.

What accreditation does the rehab center carry? There are various types of accrediting agencies that provide assurance that rehab centers are properly certified to provide treatment. Check for proper accreditation before choosing a rehab center to check in to.

Does the rehab center offer a detox program and if so what type of detox is offered? If you suffer from a drug or alcohol addiction then you will want to assure that you choose a rehab center that provides detox. Some of the common types of detox include medical detox and rapid detox.

What programs are offered? Various programs are offered at rehab centers depending on the type of treatment that they provide. Some rehab centers will provide family programs, enrichment programs, community involvement and various other types of treatment. Think about what matters to you, what you would like to do and ask if the programs offered at each rehab center will benefit you accordingly.

What insurance is accepted? If you have insurance then you will likely want to find a rehab center that accepts your particular insurance. Some rehab centers don’t accept insurance at all while many others accept a full range of insurance. If you choose a rehab center that accepts insurance, talk to the center and to your insurance agency about what services are (and are not) covered, co-payments, and other fees involved.

Are follow up programs offered? It is advisable to seek treatment at a rehab center that will provide you with follow up care to help prevent relapse. Ask each rehab center if they provide such care and what programs are offered to help prevent relapse following treatment.

How many staff members are there and how many patients are there? This will help you determine how much one on one treatment you will get. Look for a rehab center that has a low client to staff ratio for optimal treatment and care.

Will I have to wait on a waiting list? If you are seeking rehab for drug treatment or for the treatment of another condition the length of time that you must wait before being admitted to a program can be detrimental to the success of your recovery. Ask about whether you will have to wait and if so how long the expected wait time is.

You may have other questions that you want answered as well when you are trying to choose the best rehab center for you. Make a list of the questions that you want to have answered and ask each when you contact the rehab centers on your list. Keep a detailed log of the answers that you receive so that you can go back and make an informed decision on the best rehab center from the list of centers that you have contacted.
